Duty of Candour
As an NHS healthcare provider we have a legal and moral obligation to exercise a duty of candour should anything go wrong.
To fulfil this we promise to:-
- Promote a safe culture of honesty and transparency in delivery of our services
- Keep all involved fully informed if anything goes wrong
- Provide support, be open with the truth and apologise to all those people affected whether it be patients, their families or other healthcare workers.
The above is in addition to your right to bring concerns to our attention using the complaints procedure available in reception or to download from the practice website.
